Low YSLOW Score - an 'F' on two fronts

Hello,

I'm using the 'Bold' theme on my site and ran a GTMetrix test. I get a score of 'F' in YSlow for two items.

I'm not a programmer/web-developer. I did see this thread 'https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/improving-y-slowness-scores/' but I'm unsure if that's universal advise or one that's specific to that site.

Here are my 'F' score limitations.

Make fewer HTTP Requests:
This page has 31 external Javascript scripts. Try combining them into one.
This page has 8 external stylesheets. Try combining them into one.

Use a Content Delivery Network:
This has a long list of JS and CSS file names - numbering more than 30.

What's the best way to combine CS and JSS files?
How can I improve these scores?

I read about CDN and I understand its clearly not something I need. Being able to optimize HTTP requests should be good enough.

That did help. Instant improvement in score. Should do for now. Thank you.

Resolved.

Glad to be of help

Hi. I had to deactivate Autoptimize because it took out my fonts. Despite 'Google Fonts' being set to 'Leave as is' as recommended on https://generatepress.com/fastest-wordpress-theme/

Another user of Autoptimize had a similar problem. https://wordpress.org/support/topic/autoptimize-removed-font-on-main-page/

This said that 'a.htheme_no_logo' needs to be added to CSS optimization exclusion list.
Added the exclusion and nothing changed. No fonts still.

Is there a generatepress/theme specific exclusion I should be adding?

Thank you.

Technically, The low YSlow problem is resolved. But it just led to another problem. If you need me to create a new thread, let me know.

Thats peculiar - would you mind creating a new topic - makes it easier for us to track. Thanks
