It appears that all my CSS is gone from one of my GP sites

I use GeneratePress Premium on my company website for three identical sites in different languages. Today I updated the GP plugin (it said there were updates on the plugins page) on my three sites, but one of the sites suddenly looks very different than before as if something went wrong. It looks like all the CSS has been stripped from the page. Also, the 'Appearances' --> 'GeneratePress' menu item has vanished from the site in question.

The sites I have are http://www.dataknowhow.com, http://www.dataknowhow.dk and http://www.dataknowhow.se

It is the last one (.se) that is not working anymore.

Can you help me get the site back to its normal state?

Hi Helene,

Looks like GP Theme is not activated for that last site, which also explains why Appearances > GeneratePress has disappeared.

Can you make sure GP theme is installed and activated?

Let me know.

Thanks for your reply. The GeneratePress is installed and activated as you can see in this screenshot but it is not working properly. The GP Premium plugin is activated as well, as the content on the site is built using GP Sections, and if I turn off the plugin the content on the site disappears.

Activated theme

Hmm, I wonder if the update process was interrupted and didn't complete on that site.

You can try re-installing GP by activating a Twenty-x theme, deleting GP in Appearance - Themes and then doing a fresh install.

Let me know if that fixes it or not.

If I delete the GP theme and reinstall it, does that mean that all my settings will be deleted? And do I only need to reinstall the theme, or should I reinstall the entire GP Premium plugins?

You're settings will be fine - never a bad idea to back everything up though.

Only the theme should be good for now.

Let us know.

Looks like it's working now? :)

Thanks, after re-installing the theme I got most of the site back. Only the footer widgets had disappeared.

That usually only happens if the theme name or folder is changed, as widgets and menus are stored in the database using a setting based on your theme name/folder.

Glad it's working now :)
