Hi. I’ve just encountered internal 500 error on the site. Disabling W3cache and AddToAny plugins helped…
I’ve tested it via
https://search.google.com/test/mobile-friendly and encountered some problems I do not fully understand yet.
I’ve left this plugins on at the other test copy of the site, /wp/, and they work… Is it possible that the problem is caused by 2 different installations of wordpress on the server?
I’m not too kind on the host this page is on, but it’s what my client is used to… And I’m not sure if the problem lies in the site or host or both. I will be very grateful for every advice how to make it better ๐
Also, is there a way to make some fixed elements (like logo and navigation) load only once per visit, and not re-load on every pages?

Sorry what’s the problem you are encountering?
Here are our suggestions for optimizing sites if you haven’t tried it: https://generatepress.com/fastest-wordpress-theme/
February 8, 2018 at 2:21 am #491123AgaThe problem I’m encountering is that my site can easily “overload” servers and than internal error 500 is shown instead of my site. Thank you for this link. I used “Pingdom” and learned:
Leverage browser caching
The following cacheable resources have a short freshness lifetime. Specify an expiration at least one week in the future for the following resources:(and here are some images from the website, like post images and so on) but also this:
https://syndication.twitter.com/settings
https://connect.facebook.net/pl_PL/sdk.js
https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.jsAnd the facebook and twitter links are listed also in the other problems like:
Remove the following redirect chain if possible:
https://syndication.twitter.com/i/jot
https://platform.twitter.com/jot.htmlRemove the following redirect chain if possible:
https://web.facebook.com/impression.php/f39e685124/?lid=115&payload=%7B%22source%22%3A%22jssdk%22%7D
https://www.facebook.com/impression.php/f39e685124/?lid=115&payload=%7B%22source%22%3A%22jssdk%22%7DRemove the following redirect chain if possible:
https://web.facebook.com/v2.11/plugins/page.php … lneABC&locale=pl_PL&sdk=joey&show_facepile=false
https://www.facebook.com/plugins/page.php?adapt … lneABC&locale=pl_PL&sdk=joey&show_facepile=falseThe following publicly cacheable, compressible resources should have a “Vary: Accept-Encoding” header:
http://przedszkolneabc.pl/wp2/
https://platform.twitter.com/jot.html
https://syndication.twitter.com/settingsUnfortunatelly, I understand very little from this… What I understood clearly is that two buttons, for twitter and facebook, that I generarted from their official sites for developers, are creating problems. Can I do something about it? If you have any advices about how to add “Vary: Accept-Encoding” or “Specify an expiration” I’d be grateful too…
February 8, 2018 at 4:06 am #491198AgaI’ve got two sites: przedszkolneabc.pl/wp2 and przedszkolneabc.pl/wp
WP is a copy I made of WP2, to try and optimize the site – I’ve compressed images there, reducing site size by 0.3MB and also installed Autoptimize there. But the images number, the settings, the content are absolutely the same for both.
And WP2 has better testing results than WP! Although it’s bigger and has no Autoptimize… Loads faster, too, most times it loads in about 4s, and WP loads 7-8s. I totally do not understand why it’s happening ๐
In both cases it says there are too many javascript and css files… can I do something about it too?
February 8, 2018 at 11:20 am #491536TomLead DeveloperLead DeveloperAre there any specific errors in your error_log file on the server?
If the 500 error is going away when you deactivate plugins, you may just need to increase the PHP memory limit: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/increasing-php-memory-limit/
