install 3.0

Hello, I've looked all over and I don't see how to install 3.0. I already have the 2 version installed, I have gp premium updated and installed, and I installed the easy plugin .
it says to manual instal? how? it also says upload the zip? but the file the downloads to my computer is not a zip.

Just to confirm, you are wanting to test GeneratePress 3.0 beta?
If so you can download the file here:
https://generatepress.com/generatepress-3-0-a-new-era/
The file should definitely be .zip with name: generatepress-3.0.0-beta.3
Then follow the steps to install it here:

I can't see that it is a zip. When I click on the link to download, the one you gave me here, and the other one, it downloads to my Mac as little blue folder in downloads.
I'm not on a MAC so I can't quite tell unfortunately.
I assume it's the same if you download it from here?

If so can you try uploading that and see if it works?
ok problem solved, after checking all your links to no avail, I unchecked the box in Safari-preferences- that says to automatically open safe files.
