Is there a an ideal image size for featured and in-article images on the Arctic pre-made site? I am asking as I’d like to ensure I am setting the right width and height to align with google site speed test best practices.
Looking for suggestions for Featured images and in article images.
the featured image occupies a maximum width of 800px, images inside the content if displayed without padding will match that too.
That diagnostic warning though means something is missing its attributes. If you click on the expand toggle beside that, it should show which image – let us know what it says.
All the images you attached have explicit width and height, I ran a lighthouse test for your site, the image without explicit width and height is the mobile SVG logo.
As far as Featured image sizes, I planned to go with 800w x 500h.
For “in article” images, I planned to go with the same 800w x 500h.
Two questions:
1. Is there any issue with those sizes inside the Artic pre-made site?
2. Do I need to do anything to ensure Google knows I have set explicit width and height?
Thats Google saying you could have loaded ‘smaller’ size image files to achieve the same result.
This could be one of a few factors – is it possible to see the page where those images are?
