Hi there, at the navigation bar and footer, there is code showing on my website.

I have just checked my account and reactivated the site, and updated GP Premium to the latest 2.1 Alpha version (I wasn't sure how to just update to the latest 2.0 version.)

The code is still showing up..

Any ideas?

Here's the code at the top of the menu:
`lang="en"UTF-8 class="home page-template-default page page-id-90 logged-in admin-bar no-customize-support wp-embed-responsive theme-generatepress post-image-aligned-center sticky-menu-slide sticky-enabled menu-logo menu-logo-enabled both-sticky-menu woocommerce-no-js no-sidebar nav-below-header one-container fluid-header active-footer-widgets-3 nav-aligned-right header-aligned-center dropdown-hover elementor-default elementor-kit-1261 elementor-page elementor-page-90"itemtype="https://schema.org/WebPage" itemscope'

Here's the code at the bottom of the menu:
'class="site grid-container container hfeed grid-parent"class="content-area grid-parent mobile-grid-100 grid-100 tablet-grid-100"class="site-main"90class="post-90 page type-page status-publish"itemtype="https://schema.org/CreativeWork" itemscope itemprop="text"'

And the code at the footer
'class="site-footer"'

Thankyou

Hey yes!

That's strange. Can you disable all plugins except GP Premium to test?

Hmm I have just tried that, the code is still showing, and for some reason the very bottom line of the website now says, "Built with GeneratePress" - that seems weird.

Any ideas?

It's also happening at the other website connected with the same GeneratePress key, I'll put it in the private info box

I've reinstalled GeneratePress 2.0.3, the issue is still showing up..

Any support would be really appreciated, thank you!

Hi David,

Something seems to be breaking the HTML tags on the <head> of your site and its spilling its contents on the <body> making the HTML tags appear as strings instead of being rendered by the browser.

Are you using any PHP snippets that add/modify any HTML elements? particularly on wp_head?

This can come from a Hook Element, a Code Snippets plugin, a child theme template or a badly coded plugin. Can you check these?

Let us know how it goes. :)

Thank you,

Not that I know of, been looking around but I can't find anything, there's also no custom code plugins or snippets..

This appeared yesterday afternoon and there weren't any changes to the site.

We can help check things out.

Can you copy the site on a staging environment and provide us temporary backend access to it?

You can use the private information text field to provide the details. :)

Hey Elvin,

thank you so much, that would be awesome,

Unfortunately the wordpress back-end is not working for me now, it's just loading a blank screen.

You may have to ask your site's hosting to take a look at that as this is something beyond the theme's scope. :D

Hi team, I finally got access to the back-end again and have created a staging environment,

It would be really awesome if you could take a look, I've tried activating and deactivating plugins, and unfortunately the last backup before the issue is from a couple of weeks ago and a lot of changes have been made, so I'm hoping it can be fixed!

Login details for staging site are you the private info box.

Hey Elvin,

Is there any chance you would still take a look?

Would be massively appreciated

Can you keep all the plugins except GP Premium disabled?

also, can you try reinstalling a fresh & updated copy of GeneratePress and GP Premium? To check if its a corrupted/edited plugin/theme.
