How to get recent posts to show in body of home page?

How do I get my posts from the blog category on my website, to show up on the home page of my blog? Not all of them, but the most recent 5 posts or so?
There is a plugin called "Category Posts Widget" that might work, but I cannot find out how to get it to show my posts in the actual body of the home page (rather than the side bar for example). I purchased Generate Press Premium -- Is this what "sections" is used for? Would I be able to drag this recent posts widget to a section?
Or is there an entirely different way of doing this. Perhaps an easier way?
