Guttenberg compatibility

Hope I'm not jumping the gun too fast, but is there an estimated time for when Generate Press will be Guttenberg compatible?
Hi Tina,
The GeneratePress site is actually using the Gutenberg editor, albeit just the HTML Block.
Once a more stable release of Gutenberg is available, as some aspects of where Theme development belongs is still in the air, I am sure we will be seeing more customisation support for Gutenberg.
But quite a few people in the GP community have already started to use the current release in their builds :)
Oh, okay. Hi David!
So I'm guessing I should be able to start using it too. I tried giving it ago earlier after the site updated to the latest version of WordPress, but the new post page took a long time to load (and I kind of gave up waiting after a few minutes thinking it wasn't compatible yet), so I changed back to the old version.
I'll give Guttenberg another go and then look to see what's stopping it from loading if I have the same issue.
Cheers!

Hi Tina,
any feedback is much appreciated :)
Hi David,
I was reading another strand where Sections is not compatible with Gutenberg. I have many Pages set up with sections. Another user on the Gutenberg forum also with Generate Press advised she had a similar issue as I was having and to get Gutenberg to work she had to deactivate Sections.
Refer:
https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/gutenberg-prep/
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/guttenberg-activation-reactivation-problems/#post-10557652
So, I think I will wait until Sections is fully compatible with Gutenberg before I start using it as I don't want to ruin my main Pages which all rely on sections.
Cheers

The bug that was in Gutenberg that 'broke' sections has been fixed :)
Okay. Unfortunately, I still can't get Gutenberg to activate. ^.^
Are there any other Premium add-ons that are not compatible?
If Sections is activated and you're using GPP 1.6, Gutenberg won't display.
You can:
a) Disable Sections
b) Update to GPP 1.7 (currently a release candidate): https://generatepress.com/gp-premium-1-7/
Thanks, David & Tom. I decided to disable Gutenberg and wait for the Premium Addons to be completed. Which happened not long after so it wasn't much of a wait.
All good now, and I haven't had any more issues using the Gutenberg editor.
Cheers

Gutenberg and Sections are compatible now :)
