Gutenberg Prep

I am also having this problem: When ever I use the GeneratePress theme with Gutenberg, the video embed block doesn't work with Videopress hosted files.

Instead of loading the videos, only the URL for the videos is shown.

This does not happen to me with other themes.

GeneratePress itself shouldn't prevent Gutenberg from doing anything.

Do you have any custom functions added to the theme maybe? If you have a child theme active, can you try activating the parent theme temporarily?

Hi Tom, thanks for the reply. I'm going to make doubly sure it's not a known WordPress problem before I come back here and report on it again. I have a good workaround: all I have to do is use the video shortcode and that works fine.
