Going Crazy: no customizations appearing!

OK, I think I'm going crazy. I have customized my site thusly: 
. But when I view it in Edge, Chrome or Firefox it appears like this: 
I have cleared caches multiple times and nothing seems to work. At wit's end and I am going to bed.

So you see it in preview but it doesn't save?
Can you try clearing your caching plugin and then deactivating it?
It was the Fast Velocity Minify plugin. It is the closest thing I have to a caching plugin for my site. Disabling it rectified the issue. There may have been conflicts with some Jetpack settings as well.

Hello, i love this theme. however, something is wrong. when i open the customizer, it opens, but it locks up and after 20-30 seconds crashes, I then get the "Aw, Snap!
Something went wrong while displaying this webpage."
here's what i've tried:
1. Purge cache....didn't help.
2. Switched to my old theme (Genesis)...customizer works fine.
any ideas

Found the problem. It's two elementor plugins (elementor and elementor pro). when i deactivated both plugins the customizer started working.
Is GP and Elementor compatible?
Both plugins are up to date.
Any suggestions would be appreciated, even though I understand it's not GP's fault.
