Getting rid of Button
13 replies · Started by Mike on July 27, 2020
Whenever I seem to make changes to a page, I find a Button has appeared.
I delete it, and then it pops up again.
How do I stop it?
Hi there,
Are you referring to the buttons block from GB?
If so this should help:
https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/deleted-buttons-returning/#post-1372339
Details please, not just vague cross referencing!!
Getting these stupid buttons everywhere!!
The Buttons block is made up of 2 block components.
1. The Buttons wrapper
2. The Button
It looks like you're just deleting the Button , when you need to select the Buttons wrapper and delete. Leo shows in this screenshot how to select the Buttons wrapper from the Block Navigation.
When I highlight the Button it brings up the options shown in your screenshot but I cannot get a response from the Buttons icon. All the other icons respond, but not this one.
Can you select the button and then click the Block Navigation option in the top toolbar and send me a screenshot so i can see what we're dealing with ?
Won't allow to paste screenshot here. How do I send an attachment, so I can send it in Word?
Use a screenshot sharing site like https://imgur.com or save the screenshot your WordPress media library or any hosted/sharing/cloud drive and send us the URL.
Good idea about the media library. It is in the library for abccomputersolutions.co.uk/wp3/ in a file called button prob.png.
The media library won't work for us.
Go to this site:

Upload an image, then copy and paste the direct link here.
thanks
Your screenshot is not showing what David and I are showing.
This is what you need to click on:

in order to see the buttons block:

Then you can remove it.
OK, looking at the wrong menu, sorted now.
Glad to hear.
