Deleted Buttons Returning

Guys,

I was having an issue with blank content blocks which I resolved by adding a button and then deleting it (and then the content block changed to a circle with a + inside it) and everything displayed perfectly.

However, when I go back to this page, all these 'deleted' content blocks now have a button in them - the web version still displays fine, but I have to delete all these buttons again before I can do anything.

I've cleared my cache but this made no difference.

What should I do?

Thanks,
Richard

Hi there,

can you share a screenshot of the editor where these 'phantom' elements are?

Stupid question I know, but how do I upload a screenshot?

Here's the page - you can see all the blue buttons:

If I delete them all and Update everthing's fine until I want to edit the page again - they all reappear!

Thanks

To share Images - you need to provide us a link to where the image is stored. You could just add it to your Media Library and copy the URL it provides.

Couple of things to check.
1. Disable any cache plugins.
2. When Editing the post - is it displaying any Revisions / Updated versions are available ?

Autoptimize deactivated but I still get the problem.

First time it said there is a more recent Autosaved version. Restored that but still have the problem.

Second time it asked if I wanted to restore the backup. Which I did, but just the same.

What happens if you open the Page in an incognito / private browser. Makes those changes, publish and then return to the editor ?

The problem is still there

Disabled all plugins too and no joy

That was it!

Thanks VERY much,
Richard

No problem :)
