Full width Gutenberg background with Sidebar in Wordpress

Hey team, I know it is not normally possible to have full-width background along with a sidebar in Gutenberg. But somebody told me that it can be done via modiying your theme function. Since i am not a coding expert, do you guys have any solution for this.
