Fade in/out on scroll - Not on mobile

Hi Elvin,
I ran into this threat and followed your advice to make it work on my site also ;-)
Two questions: How can I...
(1) amend the Hook Element to deactivate the fade on mobile?
(2) change the preferences such that the fade effect kicks-in earlier, say when the element is 50% visible on the screen?

The script is not coming from GP, it's from a third party, so we can not offer support for that script, unfortunately.
