Google page speed indicates errors with my theme. How do I get these fixed? My page speed results for mobile indicate poor and desktop needs works.
I read several posting https://generatepress.com/fastest-wordpress-theme/
I installed Autoptimize and Query Strings Remover. The results WERE worse than not having those plugins installed.I have disabled all of the plugins based upon Googles recommendations to see if it a plugin causing any issues. After disabling the plugins, I ran the test again. The results are below.
Your page has 2 blocking script resources and 15 blocking CSS resources. This causes a delay in rendering your page.
None of the above-the-fold content on your page could be rendered without waiting for the following resources to load. Try to defer or asynchronously load blocking resources, or inline the critical portions of those resources directly in the HTML.
Remove render-blocking JavaScript:

The instructions here should help a lot: https://generatepress.com/fastest-wordpress-theme/
July 24, 2017 at 12:55 pm #354224JeffreyDid you see the link I posted at the beginning of my post? I already did this. The results were worse after completing the changes.
Recall, I disabled all the plugins and testing only the theme and pics that are compressed.
Any other ideas? I switched to your theme because it was suppose to be light and fast!

Thanks!

Let’s take a look at GTmetrix: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/unlimitedearnings.siterubix.com/zLD7JD7m
The two main issues here are server related: Enable Keep-Alive and Leverage Browser Caching
If you’re on shared hosting, you might consider using a plugin like WP Rocket to enable these kinds of caching methods on your website.
Otherwise, you may need to talk with your hosting about enabling these features/upgrading your server.
Let me know if you need more info 🙂
