oh YAY. it worked. thanks so much. out of curiosity, what did you change? i manage a lot of accounts on this host and don't have issues with any other account. do you know why it was happening?

I spoke to our hosting last night and they said one of the IP's was being blocked for too many failed login attempts (I think they said around 15 within 60 mins?). They've unblocked the IP address so you shouldn't run into anymore issues.
