HI
I’m not certain what’s causing it, but when trying to build a page using Elementor, nothing happens. I only get a white screen and need to use the back arrow to get out. I can build with WP Baker, but not with Elementor.Any ideas?

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Have you checked with Elementor on this issue?

This is the usual response that premium users get. Yes, I did and they said the same thing, “go to the theme developer”.
Back to you now.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperThat’s strange – Elementor actually tells people to activate GeneratePress when testing for theme conflicts, as the two work so well together.
When you’re seeing the white page, do you see any errors if you right click and select “Inspect”? Check the “Console” tab for red errors.

It’s just a complete white screen. Here is a screenshot. I have disabled WP Baker as well troubling shooting the issue.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperSo nothing appears in the Console tab if you right click the screen and select “Inspect”?
Do you have any recent errors in your
error_logfile (can be found on your server)?May 3, 2018 at 12:50 am #566229Ray
This is what appears following your instructions.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperIt sounds like it may be an issue with your server: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/14039804/error-330-neterr-content-decoding-failed
Might be worth checking with your hosting.

Looks you’re spot on there, mate. I’ll have a look into it and report back.

Actually, just to chime in, I had this EXACT problem a little while ago. It drove me nuts trying to figure it out!
Elementor updated and started showing a white screen when I tried entering the editor no matter what I tried. I found out by searching online that it was an issue with the servers preventing the editor from loading and that I might actually be able solve the issue by going into Elementor settings from the dashboard, going into the advanced tab, and enabling “Switch Editor Loader Method.” Solved the problem for me immediately.
I hope that helps!
