Desktop Browser

When I reduce the size of my desktop browser the layout is heavily distorted. Is it possible to simply have a smaller amount of the website visible on changing the size of the browser as opposed to having the layout changed? Similar to how the google webpage responds to making the browser window smaller.

select the parent GB Container Block on your page, and switch to Tablet Preview, then remove the 300px of left and right margin in the Spacing settings.

Have tried the above but it did not address my issue.
I might have not described my issue accurately.
I have found an older topic describing the same issue. As it is from 2014 I am unsure if the solutions provided are valid?
Instead of removing the 300px margin values as David suggested, can you try setting them to 0s on the tablet view?
