columns in the section

I want to columns in the section.
If you want to find more columns, this is a good solution?:

I'm asking because it hasn't been updated in 1 year.
Or is there another alternative?

I would highly recommend using our upcoming block plugin GenerateBlocks to achieve the layout you are going for:

It’s currently in Beta testing but we are moving along nicely and getting ready for the official release soon:

One of the main goals of the plugin is to replace the old Sections add-on which won’t be getting any updates now.
The Container block and Grid block would be what you are looking for:

It would be excellent if a section easily could be split up into columns. (The Lightweight Grid Columns plugin is out of date and also an temporary solution, I think). It would be very practical to be able to do this. (And it would make SiteOrigin unnescessary...)
Section will not be getting any updates from now.
