Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperCan you paste the contents of that file into pastebin (http://pastebin.com/) and share them with me? Renaming that file will work until you update and have to rename it again.

If you want to look at the website itself: http://www.ppe-racing.com

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperAll of the translations functions are there as far as I can see – you shouldn’t have to rename anything.
From looking at your site, the search widget is using the GeneratePress searchform.php – are you sure you’re not using a child theme or something?
If the searchform.php file doesn’t exist, you would have a much different looking search form in that widget.

I am really not sure and don’t know what to look for, sorry. Only GP Theme and the three main WP Themes are installed. I am using the following plugins:
Custom Sidebars
Contact Form 7
Table Press
SEO Ultimate
SI CaptchaAfter renaming the file again, the english translation is back.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperThat is super weird, and you’re changing the language in “Settings > General”? I can’t reproduce the issue on my end.
Let’s wait for this next update and let me know if updating reverts it back to English, if so, I’ll dig a little deeper 🙂

I think I got it. At first I wanted to build the website in English, then I decided to switch over to German.
Now I switched from “German/Sie” (polite form) to “German/Du” and that worked?! Perhaps WP didn’t get the setting when I switched the language a couple of days ago?

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperAh, interesting. Maybe GP doesn’t have that version of German translated? That would make sense.

Yes, that’s it. I can reproduce the issue:
German (Sie) > english text
German > german textThanks for the hint and the help!

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperNo problem – if you end up adding some translations you can send them over if you want and I’ll add them to the core theme so you won’t lose any translations when you update.
Let me know if you have any other questions 🙂
