Can't remove footer or footer widgets on woo commerce page
7 replies · Started by Mark on January 6, 2020
I have a GP site at http://staging7.nimblethimble.com
I would like to remove the footer widgets (but not the footer bar below it).
I have tried using "Disable Elements" and selecting "0" footer widgets in the Layout section of the page. However, neither seems to have any effect on the page.
On every other page, these the two controls listed in the last paragraph seem to work.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Mark
Hi there,
If it's an index page (posts page, shop page etc) then WordPress ignores the metabox value by default.
You can create a layout element for it:

Let me know if this helps :)
Thanks Leo.
I have created a layout element that selects "0" for the number of footer widgets, and I have the Display Rule targeting the "Shopping" page, but the footer widgets are still there.
Ideas?

What if you select Product Archive under the display rules instead of the page name?
Anybody able to speak to this problem?

Hi there,
as Leo suggests, edit the Layout Element and on the Display Rules select: Product Archive instead of the Page: Shopping
David,
Thanks so much. That did the trick!

P.S. Please tell Tom he can ignore my request for further support.
