Can't navigate site

After I log in to /wp-admin I get the error message "Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home/***/public_html/wp-content/themes/generatepress1/inc/customizer.php on line 39"
Consequently every time I ty to go from the Dashboard to another place I get the above error message.
Do you know how I can fix it?

I followed the instructions, replaced the customizer.php file & it works fine.

Be sure to call your hosting and ask them to update your PHP version to the latest stable version.
