can't get a background color on my header/nav

Hi there,

My site is: cashhomebuyerpros.com

I opted for "use nav as header".

What I am trying to do: All I want is to have my logo in the top left and my phone number in the top right, both on mobile, tablet, and desktop. I want a white background to make them easier to see. Right now they have a transparent background.

I want this header/nav to look very similar to the KBB website (https://www.kbb.com/)

My issues:

I can't figure out how to change the background color on header as navigation from transparent to white.

When viewing on mobile, I do not want a menu label to exist in the right corner, I just want it to show my phone number as a button so that if someone clicks it, it will call my business.

hi there, the video didn't help. i watched the video, followed instructions, applied changes, updated site, and nothing has changed. also, only half of my needs were responded to on the thread i posted. here is everything i need help with again:

Kindly send me different instructions in a step by step format for making my navigation/header have a white background!

Let's handle one question per topic as specified in our forum guideline:

If you are simply trying to replicate the header here:
https://www.kbb.com/

Then go to Dashboard > Appearance > Elements and simply Remove the merged header element.

Let me know once you've done that.

i disabled that use header as nav and adjusted a top margin and got it looking closer to what i wanted.

the height though is all messed up on mobile on the transition when you scroll down.

This isn't what I instructed above and is not the best solution.

Can you try my solution to remove the merged header element first?

The layout you are trying to achieve requires the nav as header option but we will get to it once the merged header element is removed.

hey there, i don't have a "merged header element" under elements section. none exists

It probably wouldn't have the name "merged header element" but do you see a Header Element under the elements list?

If so that's probably the one.

I can also identify it for you if you can provide the dashboard login for your site.

Let me know :)

"Home Page Header Empty for GB" is what i have. ????

can you just skype me?

Sorry, we don't offer support services other than in this support forum, thanks for your understanding!

Can you provide the admin login using the private info field so we can take a look for you?
