I’m very sorry if this has been covered to death. I looked, but couldn’t find anything matching this problem.
I am trying to upload the GeneratePress zip file theme to WordPress but I keep receiving a Bad Request error message. It says Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
I was able to upload the purchased Add-Ons, but no luck with the theme.

Are you trying to upload GP Premium or one of our add-ons?
If so, you want to upload them through the “Plugins” area of the Dashboard.
Let me know 🙂February 13, 2015 at 2:13 pm #74804Ryan Redding
I started with the free download that produces the generatepress.1.2.7.zip file. When I try to upload that under themes I get the error I described above.
I was able to install the GP Premium add-on package through the plug-ins portion, but my theme will not download to access the plug ins.
Can you help?

That’s super weird – try re-saving the .zip from WordPress.org.
Alternatively, you can install via the Dashboard: http://generatepress.com/knowledgebase/installing-generatepress/February 14, 2015 at 11:44 am #75082Ryan Redding
I was able to successfully install via the dashboard. Thanks so much for your help. It was greatly appreciated.
All the best,

The theme GeneratePress does not appear when I type it in WordPress / appearance. I follow the instructions manually but there is no way to download the theme and that the plugin is activated correctly. Help please! Thank you
