Sure, Leo, I’ve put the log-in info in the private info box.

The page is: Practicing Reconciliation – Posts Page

I’ve only created one element so far: Practicing Reconciliation

I would like another element that just has paragraph text, below this header element, too:

“Welcome to our reconciliation learning community! We believe that reconciliation is more than a theoretical idea, it is an experiential reality. In order to grow together in this reality, we have established this forum in order to begin a dialogue about how we can practice reconciliation in our daily lives.

“Our desire is that this forum be a response to specific issues of reconciliation that have come up in our daily lived lives. So, rather than us simply putting out content, our intention is to respond to questions raised by you, our readers. ( Sort of a “Dear PCR” approach) Depending on the amount of questions we receive and the capacity of our office to respond, you will see various conversations begin to unfold here. To ensure that we function in accordance with the principles outlined below, we are unable to provide direct access to the website so we invite you to submit your questions or additional comments on a conversation already unfolding to the following email: practicingreconciliation@pilgrimcenter.org.

“Let’s learn to practice reconciliation together!”

I suppose another way to keep that info on this page would be to put them in widgets on a sidebar?

Instead of selecting Page > Practicing Reconciliation in the display rule, try selecting Blog instead.

Leo, that worked! Thanks for that suggestion.

Now…it’s just the text that shows up. I don’t have a background image, but would like the text in a full-width container. I’ve designated a color in “background color” and a color for text, but that’s not showing up.

    Now what?

Have you checked out the step by step instructions here?

I thought I did, but I’ll go through it again!

OK, I went through it again. I can’t see what I’m missing.

The headline is there in the right place on the right page…but there’s no background color and the text color isn’t the one I chose.

For “Background Image” I have it set at “no background image” and the background color is a shade of red, etc.

Color hex codes require a # in front of it:

    For example: #000000

Good to know. Now we’re in business! Thank you.

So…now I’d like to put some paragraph text underneath that header element that will also need to be in an element on that same page. Which of the elements is that and can you point me toward the instructions for that one?

I won’t work on this until Monday now, so no hurry for now, Leo.
    Thanks!

Not quite sure if I fully understand.

So the next paragraph will not be in the current header element?

That’s correct. My client is wondering if we can have a paragraph or two of copy that will be on this blog archive page, under the header element, above the listing of blog posts.

You can use a Block Element and set it to Hook: generate_after_header and set its priority to 25

    https://docs.generatepress.com/article/block-element-overview/

We recommend using the GenerateBlocks plugin with the block element:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/generateblocks/

You can use the Container Block to set the container width, add spacing and backgrounds etc…
