Ah OK, good strategy. I’ll also check the overviews in the documentation to better understand what each modules does.

If you’re in the US, enjoy Independence Day next Monday. As a Canadian myself, today we’re celebrating Canada Day.

Oh wow, a fellow Canadian! When I saw your message last evening after coming back from the fireworks at the Parliament, I checked and realized that your parent company, EDGE22 Studios LTD, is registered in BC. Proud to see that GP and GB are Canadian products!

    Hey Leo,

I’m done rebuilding the Donate starter site and as you’ll see here, I followed your video to create a block element for the blog.

At the beginning of this process, my goal was to rebuild a starter site for which you created a video walkthrough. Since these videos show which GB blocks were used on each page, my thinking was that I was covered in terms of GB but that I needed guidance on how to setup GP Premium (which modules and settings). But while working through this learning process, it occurred to me that installing the starter site on a different sub-domain gives me access to see all settings and therefore reverse engineer the whole starter site, including GP Premium modules and settings. I’ve learned a lot and I want to thank you for your help through all of this process.

Now I’m wondering what should be my next goal to better understand GP Premium and GB. Should I go through each GP module overview? If so, can you please point me to the right area? If you think of something else I should do, please let me know.

Thank you very much for all your help and guidance.

    That would a good idea.

If so, can you please point me to the right area?

Just go to our documentation page and search for “Overview”:
    https://docs.generatepress.com/

You can also reverse engineering another site library template to get more practice as well 🙂

    Hey Leo,

I’m currently exploring tables. The Gutenberg table block is very limited. WP suggests Flexible Table when you try to add a table block. It’s way better than the built-in block but I’m wondering if there’s better.

Searching through GP Help Forum, I noticed that someone suggested adding Tables in GB. Great suggestion IMHO. I’m wondering what’s the status on this?

I saw as well that you recommended at some point using the TablePress plugin but since it’s not directly available in the block editor (you have to insert a shortcode block instead), I went looking online and found WP Table Builder, which seems quite interesting.

I’m wondering what you recommend to add table while working in the block editor?

    Thanks again!

Can you start a new topic?

I’d like to close this one as it’s already one of the longest topics I can remember haha

    Thanks 🙂

Do I win a prize for the longest topic? Just kidding! I copied the question on tables in a new topic.

Feel free to close this topic. It’s been a great learning experience!
