Blog layout - button align left
20 replies · Started by Heinrich on April 12, 2022
Hi Team,
I need you help.
I used an element to make the blog archive layout. The blog posts are only short excerpts of articles from other websites.
So I used a button in the post it self to refer to the original article.
and not to my problem:
I want the button to be align left (as the other content too) but it's not working and I don't know why. Please have a look at the page and give me a hint.
Thanks in advanced!
Hi Heinrich,
To confirm, have you tried to align the Buttons Block left as such?: https://share.getcloudapp.com/yAuKQr0D
Kindly let us know. Hope to hear from you soon. :)
Hi Fernando,
yes I tried.
Hi there,
first of select the Buttons container - not the individual button:
https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/buttons-overview/
Change its Margin settings so the Left and Right values are zero 0
https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/buttons-overview/#margin
Then set the Alignment Left and uncheck the Fill Horizontal Space
Hi David,
I see the margin 20% left and right in the gp-button-wrapper, but have no idea where this come from. The settings are definitely without margin.
Select the Buttons container, and Duplicate it from the 3 dot menu, then delete the original.
That worked... sorry I'm totally confused now. Why? What did I do wrong?
And by the way, any news about the loops blocks ;-)
So each block gets given a uniquer ID, and that ID is appended to that blocks unique CSS.
However, if you Copy and Paste a block it does not regenerate a unique ID, whereas Duplicating a block does. So a copied Block can attract styles from the original block.
So try not top copy and paste, instead Duplicate, Cut and Paste :)
Loop Block - Sometime very very soon ....
Hi David,
thanks for your explanation, I really appreciate your support.
I´m looking forward to the loop block
Hi David,
I still need your help. It doesn't work. I created a staging environment and disabled all plugins but still an issue occurs, the button style is totally different. I tried to create the button totally new, too.
Please have a look.
Hi Heinrich,
I'm not seeing a GB buttons block in the blog content template:

How did you add the button?
Hi Ying,
as mentioned in the conversation earlier:
"The blog posts are only short excerpts of articles from other websites.
So I used a button in the post itself to refer to the original article."
Thanks for looking into it.
Hi Heinrich,
Can you try clearing all caching mechanisms set in your website? For instance, the one set by Kinsta: https://share.getcloudapp.com/8LuDgd4L
Kindly let us know how it goes. :)
every cache is cleared and I already refreshed the css style sheet.
Can you kindly try regenerating your CSS files and see how it goes?: https://share.getcloudapp.com/6quZN01j
If that doesn’t work, try temporarily setting the CSS printing method to Inline Embedding and see how it goes again.
Hope to hear from you soon.
