I'm not seeing anything obvious cause.

Can you disable all plugins except GP Premium?

That didn't help.

Can you check if there is a space entered in the custom excerpt metabox?

No, there is not. But I went in and entered some text in that manual excerpt box in my latest post, and it is displaying that. But it is not picking up the start of the post or the Read more button.

Really can't tell why it isn't working - we haven't had other reports on this either.

Can you disable all plugins except GP Premium and send me the dashboard access to have a look?

I might need to create a test post if that's ok.

Just received your credentials and created a test post called GP Test.

The excerpt is definitely working for that post.

Can you try creating another test post and confirm that it works for you too?

Yes it works for a new post. So what do we do about the ones that are not showing it?

Also, do you know what caused it so we can address it on the other site? I also have a few that are showing full instead of excerpt.

Unfortunately I really have no idea what caused the issue before. Perhaps there was some sort of plugin conflict when you create the post.

Can you try activating all the plugins again and create a new post and see if the issue comes back?

As for the posts showing full content instead of excerpt, that's likely a different issue.

I redid the plugins and did a new test and it did show the excerpt. I tried reverting the published post to draft and republishing it but no luck with the already done post.

I don't see a way other than re-creating the posts unfortunately - or a workaround like using the custom excerpt metabox for the posts that aren't working.

GP simply uses the_excerpt() function from WordPress and has no way of making some work and some don't work.

As for the full post issue, do you happen to have a more tag inserted at the bottom of the post?

Yes I see I do have that more tag. How do I remove it?

Also, if I write a custom excerpt for the published and in draft posts, how do I get the Read more button to show up with the excerpt...will it automatically take the reader to the full post?

I redid the posts but now they are not showing the excerpts again. I did these from scratch.
