Blocks in Sections?

I have downloaded the plugin Generate Blocks, but the questions I was needing to ask is can I make blocks inside the sections? I prefer to work in sections, but its quite limited to one section across the whole page, I would like to have a few columns, grids etc to break the page up. Is that possible?
Hi there,
Unfortunately blocks cannot be used inside of Sections. There is really no point either.
The Sections module was created long before Gutenberg was created but now Gutenberg is a much better option.
If you can achieve something in Sections, you can definitely do it with Gutenberg and GenerateBlocks.
Let me know if you need more info.
Thanks Leo, so the issues I am finding is when I build the blocks for my front Home page I wish to have images that are butted up together top and bottom but struggling to make this work, I can make the padding 0 on the horizontal, but adding a new image in for example then leaves a gap on the vertical?
Hi there,
can you share a link to where we can see the issue?
I have added the link in the private information section below.
So, what I'm actually after is each of the images to be butting up together, no gaps, fitting the width of the page, as sections would achieve.
Thanks
You will need to use use the content container option to remove the padding:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/content-container/
And use Grid blocks from GB instead of the columns block from WP to create the columns and add the image:
https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/grid-overview/
Then you will have the options to adjust the gaps:
https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/grid-overview/#horizontal-gap
The grid article should be very helpful :)
Still getting some issues which isnt the same as the 'sections'.
I'll drop the links in the info below.
So is the current issue this gap right here?

If so can you switch to a one container layout?
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/content-layout/
Doesn't seem to do anything, I'm just trying to replicate the home page which is there now with this test page, but doesn't seem to work as good as sections?
Doesn’t seem to do anything
It's still set to separate containers from what I can tell. Can you switch it for me to see?
And it would be good to wrap a container outside the grid wrapper as suggested in the bold sentence here:
https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/grid-overview/#inserting-a-grid-block
I've solved the gap issue, then on clicking the image again its now all gone back to gaps? This is quite confusing....
Not sure if I'm seeing the issue here:

I'm not seeing any gaps between the images? Also the images aren't clickable.
I need the gaps at the top to go so that it is the width of the webpage, also if you look at http://www.sextoyhq.co.uk at the original page I made with sections I just need to replicate the look of that, so have banners and imagery, but all seamlessly butted up.
Doesn't look like you are using the content container option I've suggested above?

Sounds like the contained option is what you are after:
