Hi guys.

After update of the GP Premium plugin and Polylang plugin, string translations in Polylang plugin became disabled. And all translations returned to the defaults. It's happened not only for GP, but for the Wordpress core and Rank Math plugin. At the same time, Cookie Notice plugin translations wasn't hurt.

I use child theme. And Polylang says this about possible issue - https://polylang.pro/doc/my-theme-provides-a-wpml-config-xml-but-nothing-appears-in-the-strings-translation-table/. But it doesn't help.

Also they have this info - https://polylang.pro/doc/strings-translation/ (4.3). But it's also not relevant to my situation.

Could you please help to solve this issue.

Hi there,

The translation part really hasn't changed in the latest GP Premium update:
https://generatepress.com/gp-premium-1-12-0/

Can you first activate the parent theme and see if changes anything at all?

If that doesn't help, can you try disabling all other plugins to eliminate any unknown conflicts?

Let me know :)

I've tried it. Unfortunately, it didn't help either.

Seems like in general, despite disabled checkboxes, in case of changes "Save" button has effect. Still not clear why checkboxes are disabled. But I think this topic can be closed. Really doesn't look like an issue with GP.
Thanks, anyway, Leo

Glad to hear.

Thanks for reporting back!
