Mike
Trying to load my right sidebar immediately after a top full-width elementor section only on HOME page. Will be using a full-width (stretched) elementor slider on my home page but I want the content under the slider to be the default width which includes a right sidebar.
Could I create an elementor section and save to my library and insert it in the “Before Content” GP hook. But if that works, how to disable it on the rest of the pages is the key or how to enable it only on the home page.
Welcome all suggestions.

StaffCustomer SupportHi Mike,
Not sure if I understand.
However, you can definitely modify the padding or margin of sidebar on certain pages.
Instead of using hooks, I’m guessing what you want can be achieved using our page header add-on:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/page-header-overview/You can create content using Elementor and insert the shortcode in page header content:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/page-header-content/Let me know if this helps. If not can you provide an example layout so I can give better suggestions?

On my test home page, I’m trying to have an elementor slides widget contained inside a full-width section just below the top header and menu. https://ncsfa.site/home-summer-2018/
I do no want the entire page to be full width, just that top section while still using the default layout which allows the sidebar widgets to be displayed. If you view the page above you’ll see that the sidebar widget area is being hidden. I want it to begin below the full-width section.

StaffCustomer SupportHmm if that’s the case what I suggested above should work:
https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/add-top-margin-on-right-sidebar-on-certain-pages/#post-545927The page header add-on gives you the option to set full width container:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/page-header-content/#containerGive it a shot and let me know.

Not sure that’s gonna work because I’m using gp hooks for my header area with an elementor custom template. UNLESS I can insert a elementor section template’s shortcode into the page header just for that page. I’ll give it a whirl and reply back.

Works good except for the bottom gap between the page header and the below content. Can’t find where I can change the height of the page header as seen in the page console code.

StaffCustomer SupportLooks like you have Full Screen option turned on but I don’t think that’s what you needed: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/page-header-content/#fullscreen
