add short description to men item

Hi Tom,

Wondering if I could add an short description to the mainmenu items.
I found this article, but it's quite out dated.

This is what the idea:

Something like this:

     <li><a href="#"><strong>Contact</strong><span>Get in touch!</span></a></li>

</ul>

And in the admin an description field or simply a centered menu item with</br> in the label text.
