In order to preserve the maximum amount of information please see my article defining the problem here: https://github.com/adriatic/screenshots/issues/32

May 28, 2019 at 11:06 am #913613NikolajHi Leo
Please check https://github.com/adriatic/screenshots/issues/33
May 28, 2019 at 11:15 am #913620LeoStaffCustomer SupportSo the space is coming from the content padding which is currently at 60px:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/content-padding/The title can be removed with the disable element in the layout metabox:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/disable-elements-overview/Or globally using the layout element module:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-element-overview/#disable-elementLet me know if this helps π
May 28, 2019 at 2:25 pm #913741NikolajI tried to use your advice “The title can be removed with the disable element in the layout metabox:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/disable-elements-overview/” – and failed to remove the title on the help page of my app. Please see Removing the title of the specific page (https://github.com/adriatic/screenshots/issues/34) for detailsMay 28, 2019 at 2:29 pm #913743LeoStaffCustomer SupportThe steps look good to me.
Any caching plugins or server cache?
May 28, 2019 at 2:53 pm #913754NikolajNo caching – however I am using Cloudflare, which is also acting as a cache. Will disable Cloudflare and will report back here.
I will write a review tomorrow, with my brain rested. I cannot be more impressed with the architecture (and implementation as well) of your software, so I want to state that for the record
May 28, 2019 at 2:57 pm #913760LeoStaffCustomer SupportIf it’s just that one single page you want to remove the page title, the disable element layout metabox on that page should definitely work:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-element-overview/#disable-elementWhen I checked before, the content title wasn’t checked there.
May 28, 2019 at 2:59 pm #913762NikolajA few minutes later:
Disabled Cloudflare and modified the Help page title to Help x. Unfortunately, I got to see this changed title, right away, so Cloudflare is not meddling with me. If and when you get the time to have a look at my plugins, please check if I am not using something that has this issue as a side effect.
May 28, 2019 at 3:07 pm #913768LeoStaffCustomer SupportCan you try checking this?
https://www.screencast.com/t/E9Wa5hyhwVMay 28, 2019 at 4:25 pm #913831NikolajThis worked like a charm, so I am both happy and confused at the same time. I propose to keep this item not closed until such time when we find what was wrong with my first approach that is a lot more generic.
May 28, 2019 at 4:32 pm #913833LeoStaffCustomer SupportI just tested using Layout Element on my own install and it worked no problem.
This leads me to believe there is just some sort of caching issue or plugin conflicts going on in your install.
We won’t really be able to tell unless you are willing to go through some debugging tips?
May 28, 2019 at 5:23 pm #913850NikolajI would love to go through *any* debugging tips as I hate to leave any issues unresolved. Please do tell me what to do.
May 28, 2019 at 6:07 pm #913854LeoStaffCustomer SupportTry #1 here to eliminate any plugin conflicts first:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/debugging-tips/I’m going to guess some sort of caching is likely the reason.
