Hi Tom,
I have noticed some major issues on google structure data testing tool when i tested my recipe there.
See the screenshot here (http://i.is.cc/5BpZzlR.png) you will see that there is a creative problem… but it should not be (you can check any recipe you want)..
see this http://i.is.cc/5Bu64Qo.png.. this is another website (my competitor). see the picture and there is no creative work error there..Then i thought why not ask the recipe plugin (meal planner pro) support.. then he told me there is no issue with our plugin.. you should contact your theme developer.. (he also told me that creative work can be fixed easily)
CreativeWork is accessing the recipe shortcode and Recipe schema which it shouldn’t be. This is why i am receiving CreativeWork schema errors.
Plz let me know how to fix that creative work issue..

We’ll be releasing GP 2.2-alpha.1 on Monday, which replaces all microdata in the theme with JSON-LD, which you can disable in Customize > General.
That will fix this issue for you 🙂

Hi Tom, I have updated your plugin but still it’s showing creative work problem.. and also there is no option in Customize > General to disable JSON-LD as you have mentioned above..
The JSON-LD update is a theme update – not a GPP update. I’ll be releasing GP 2.2-alpha.1 today to the public.
2.2-alpha.1 has been released: https://generatepress.com/generatepress-2-2/
It’s important to note that this is an alpha version, so there are bound to be some bugs we need to fix before 2.2 is officially released.
i have read that post it’s awesome to see some new updates… Should i test it on my live website or should i wait till the official release.. what’s the date of official GP2.2 release?
There isn’t a set date yet – it depends on how testing goes.
As of now, we haven’t received any reports of major issues.
Hi tom, generatepress update is now available. Should i update to remove the creative work issue or still there is a bug in the theme.. Plz let me know your opinion
As of GP 2.2, you can do this:
add_filter( 'generate_schema_type', '__return_false' );That will remove the main microdata from the theme.
