Hi Leo:
Was thinking of replacing my follow buttons in my secondary menu with some sort of “Small- narrow “ subscribe opt in box. Any decent options for that? ( I assume that the subscribe bar would have to go to another page as to the height narrowness of secondary menu? )

Little hard to picture what you are trying to achieve. How are you going to insert the subscribe form?
Do you have an example to show?
If you want to use widget in menu, this should help:

Hit menu – email signup(The purple bar would be my secondary menu…. the black bar above (code canyon) my primary menu.
A narrow email/ sign up bar in secondary is objective . I would opt for stationary; not moving.I’ll go with your above links as to which might be better after you look at my example above

Yes.. in effect, the burgundy bar would be secondary (sign up)menu bar with my opt in form — eg. e-mail…sign up now!
Above it would be primary menu in black.If it’s something like that then Top Bar widget area is actually a better option:

Anyway… I installed WP notifications bar plugin as here:

Can this bar be placed somehow in my secondary navigation in any type of way? (Or would plugin provider know better?)Optionally, can any subscribe links and/or buttons be put in secondary navigation (would have to go to another page obviously.. is that called landing page??).

HowardI’m not familiar with the plugin but I highly doubt it would work that way – the plugin author will certain know better for sure.
You can add buttons inside navigation like this:
