Hi there,
I initially thought this problem was caused my Elementor but their support got back to me and told me it was caused by the theme as switching to a default one resolved the issue.
Here’s my initial ticket that I wrote to Elementor:
Hello there,
I’m having problems with the posts element. In editing mode, everything looks good but on the actual page, I get that enormous padding under the images.
Using Elementor in conjunction with GP and everything is up to date.
Please see the screenshots for more information.I get these errors in my console: https://pastebin.com/swBzaRga
It is a rather fresh installation – besides the Elementor plugins and the GP Premium plugin, I only have Akismet and the Duplicate Post plugin installed. I nevertheless deactivated both of these plugins but the problem still persisted. There’s no CDN or caching set up at the moment.
I appreciate any help and please let me know if you need further information from me.
Kind regards,
LarsDecember 17, 2017 at 7:44 pm #451761Leo
StaffCustomer SupportHi there,

Hi Leo,
if you scroll down on the blog page (http://vegabun.de/blog/), don’t you see this?

StaffCustomer SupportAhh yup I see it. That is definitely not GP’s problem.
It’s causing by this CSS which is entirely from elementor:
.elementor-131 .elementor-element.elementor-element-ff23685 .elementor-posts-container .elementor-post__thumbnail { padding-bottom: calc( 0.66 * 100% ); }You can overwrite it (probably not the best way) by doing this:
.elementor-131 .elementor-element.elementor-element-ff23685 .elementor-posts-container .elementor-post__thumbnail { padding-bottom: 0; }Or ask Elementor again for better support. If they still think it’s a GP problem (it’s not 😉 ). Please ask them to be specify the problem.

Hey Lars!
I know this is from more than 3 years ago, but how did you solve it? I’m having the same issue, and it only happens sometimes.

StaffCustomer SupportHi Gerard,
worth raising a support topic with Elementor – if they point the finger at the Theme then create a new topic and share the site link so we can take a look.
