    What is the deal here?

Why is updating broken every single time?
I remember that this was an issue the last time I updated as well.

    What’s the fix?

    No really Leo.

I am confused why my updates NEVER work.
This should be a one-click solution and that’s it.

My website is just a plain vanilla site and all my plugins just update.

This happens when your URL has changed since your license key was activated.

Re-add it and save then it should be good next time. Unless the URL changes again.

It worked after I deactivated and activated again.
Maybe you guys can fix this soon because if it’s not working, then why bother having this feature?

What do you mean by URL changes?

I am logged in as the admin and there are NO URL changes of any kinds as far as I know.

When you activate your license key, it stores your website address: yourwebsite.com

If your address changes (mywebsite.com, https instead of http etc..), then you’ll get the unauthorized message and the key needs to be re-entered.

We have over 25,000 active license keys, and this error is only reported a handful of times each update. It’s not a bug or anything that would stop us from offering updates through the Dashboard.
