    Hello,

I am hoping you can offer some guidance please, I am wanting to use the woocommerce product category images as the product image for the relevant category that the product is listed under.

I have added product category images for each of the categories and assigned a category for the product I have listed as a trial.

I did find some articles about this and added a hook element in the hope that this would work. – Unfortunately not!

I have looked for various solutions but as yet have been unsuccessful, can you please offer any guidance?

    Many thanks

    Hello,
I submitted this support request on Tuesday, I appreciate you are bust and sometime things take a little longer but would appreciate if you could perhaps confirm that you are in receipt of my query and will be in touch in due course?

    Thank you

    Hi Laurie,

Sorry, this topic may have slipped through our system.

To clarify, all products of this category would be using the Category’s image?

Hello, Thank you for getting back to me, yes any product that is added to that category would use the same default category image for that has been added as a category image for that category.

    Thank you

    Hi Laurie,

Unfortunately this would be something handled by WooCommerce plugin itself and will require a custom coded solution.

You can check with WooCommerce’ support team for their advice and pointers – if they can provide a solution that works in a Twenty series WP default theme, the exact solution would work in GP.

Another option would be to post in a WP general forum like Stack:
    https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/

If all of the above fails and this is a requirement for your build then you might need to consider hiring a developer using a service like Codeable suggested at the bottom of this page:

    Hope this helps 🙂
