    Hi there,

customers still love sliders. I hate sliders (and even more the bloated plugins needed to create them) from the bottom of my heart. Couldn’t we use header elements than change (sort of) dynamically? Can I override display rules in the functions.php? I could then write a simple script that changes the element following specfic conditions.

    Thanks, Mike

    Hi there,

i have very similar feelings 🙂
Will the “element” update only on refresh or does it need to be like a live slider ?

It’s totally fine to load a new background image after refreshing the page. I remotely remember a workaround for overriding the display rules by assigning the element ID to the page/post in the functions.php. I simply can’t remember where it was.

    Thanks David,

both solutions will do the trick. I DID search the forum, but chose the wrong terms, I guess. 🙂
