I have CPT UI and ACF for custom post types. I am using GeneratePress and GenerateBlocks for design. I have tried both buttons and headlines with dynamic data pulling in the list of terms and choosing term archives as the link location.

No matter what I have tried, when on the front-end and clicking the link, it does take me to a term archive, but it does not filter to that specific term that was clicked.

    Hi Jason,

I’m not sure I understand your issue.
Looking at the buttons’ links, they are all correctly pointing to the term archive.

it does take me to a term archive, but it does not filter to that specific term that was clicked.

There’s a query loop block in the term archive before the default loop, not sure if that’s what you mean.

It takes it to the term archive but does not filter it to the specific term. For instance, if I click on handmade dice, it is not just showing those posts with handmade dice selected as the taxonomy.

So the problem is the term archive itself, it’s not related to the dynamic buttons, is that correct?

Are you using a query loop block inside a block element - content template?

A query loop block is not supposed to be added as a content template, as on front end, the archive will repeat the query loop block.

Chooseloop templateas the element type, and tick the Inherit query from the template option in the element.

Thank you. I will give it a go. Is it possible to have multiple loop templates using inherit query from the template on the same page?

    Hi Jason,

    No, it isn’t possible.

Only one Loop Template would work on a page.

You can add multiple Query Loops and any Block inside a Loop Template though.
