Elisabeth
Hi,
I recently bought GP Premium and I can’t activate my licence : I get the error message “403 Forbidden. Your server is not able to communicate with generatepress.com in order to activate your license key.”.
For the last 2 years I was using my web designer’s GP Premium licence and there had been no problem activating the licence in the past.
They have already tried everything they can on their end to try to resolve the problem :- Deactivate my website on their GP account
- Clear the browser cache
- Try to deactivate other plugins
There are no caching plugin on the site. My server is OVH (located in France) and as far as I know has no caching in place. The theme and the plugin are all up to date.
Thanks

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
we can check to see if your servers IP is being block but I suggest reading Toms response here regarding traceroutes:

Hi,
Would you be able to check on your end if the server IPs are being blocked.I will contact the host to check traceroutes but they probably will take a month to reply and in the meantime it wont be possible to update.
It was still working a couple of days ago with the other licence number and it’s only when I tried to change the licence number that the message error appeared. No other changes have been made on the site.
Thanks

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperHi there,
I checked these with our hosting and they confirmed that neither IP is blocked on our end.
We’ve had this issue with OVH before, unfortunately. There seems to be something internal on their end that blocks the data on the way out or in.
If they’d like to provide a traceroute we can investigate further on our end, but so far we’ve never found anything on our end when it comes to OVH.
Let me know 🙂

Hi,
After investigating further with OVH, and with other users on OVH having the same issue, it appears that they use a different IP address for outgoing connexions. I have entered this other IP address below. Would you be able to check that that one is not blocked ?
Many thanks 🙂
