When logged in to my “Exhibit theme” based website, (dbsatucson.org) each post/page DOES NOT have the typical EDIT link at the bottom, when logged in.

That’s not the culprit – that link was removed in a recent GP update as it’s not really needed anymore. There’s an edit link in the admin toolbar which is far less confusing.
Too many people were assuming everyone was seeing the edit link and wanting to remove it.
