Hello,
I just installed the new update and my pictures blew up to fit the whole body. I tried changing the size in CSS and through the picture editor, but the pictures do not respond. Help would be appreciated!

I have the exact same issue. Any fix for this?

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperJust released the update – waiting for it to be set live.
Here’s the new version: https://wordpress.org/themes/download/generatepress.1.3.31.zip
Sorry about this! It was an issue with a function in GP and Photon (Jetpack).

Thanks so much, Tom!
Do you know when the update will be set live?
I was trying to update the theme manually, but I was unsure which file to choose out of the .zip folder you provided.
Thanks again,

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperUsually it’s instant but WordPress.org is having an issue with the automatic set live feature. I just asked them to manually do it, but it’s a Sunday so who knows.
You can re-install the entire theme using the .zip file, or just replace the functions.php file.

The update actually REMOVED all my images and I have no idea why. I am not using a child theme and just trying to quickly get a site styled & deployed… now I have to start over from scratch? I have absolutely no idea what went wrong but something in the update removed functions or something… I was only using the built-in customizer & add-ons. What happened and when do you think you’ll be able to push another update?

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperThat doesn’t sound like the same issue. GP can’t remove content from the database, so chances are the images are still there.
Which images? Your post images/featured images? Can you link me to your site?

I’ve been working on my local dev environment so I can’t send you a live link. But you can see the result of what I’m talking about here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/xywlhg5h9hzzizh/missing-featured-image.jpg?dl=0
The images ARE still there, I’ve confirmed but the moment I processed the update… they all disappeared. They are no longer linked to their position.
I’m using a masonry blog layout and previously, the featured images were in place.

Here’s a screenshot to the full page so you can see better… https://www.dropbox.com/s/bhg1v37ol4cezdk/podcast-full-page.jpg?dl=0
the featured images were previous there… not they’re only showing the alt text

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperThis was a known issue in GP Premium 1.2.85. What’s happening is you’ve set an image size in “Customize > Blog > Post Images” to a size that is larger than the original image. The resizer wasn’t capable of up-scaling the image.
I released GP Premium 1.2.86 today which should handle up-scaling. Can you try it?
