Hi,
I’m interested in using the Pivot starter theme, but it looks like one of the plugins you need is the pro version of Beaver Builder.
Here’s my question – do you need it in order to fully use the Pivot themes? Put another way, if I opt not to use it, what will I be missing?

Hey Matt,
You can import Pivot without BB pro – the only drawback is that the content from the pro plugin will not display.
I’m not very familiar with BB but I believe the free version is quite limited.
Do you absolutely want to go with a page builder? If not then you can actually rebuild Pivot using GenerateBlocks free as well.

I don’t need to important the content. I’m importing the theme to a site with existing content.
I’m not sure if I want/need to go with a page builder. I’m able to tweak themes/code as needed – just wanted a theme to give me a heads start towards something that looks good. Or find something that will enable me to quickly build/replicate something I have in mind.
Will the GenerateBlocks (plugin/feature?) do that?

We typically don’t recommend doing that – make sure you do it in a staging environment if it’s absolutely necessary.
I’d say you should give GenerateBlocks a go first before BB – it can achieve basically everything a typical page builder like BB and Elementor can.

Yes. There is usually lots of tweaking needed so a staging site is highly recommended.
