StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
sometimes the system gets confused when the local font name is identical to the google font name.
You can of course rename the local fonts to get over that.
Or if you’re not using any google loaded fonts then you can just tell GP to not load any:July 19, 2021 at 3:28 am #1860758Sunil
Hello,
Yes followed the above steps, it orks perfect!! Now there is no google font in customizer too, and I selected my local font for all typography. Now in google page speed insights still there is one googlestatic css loading which is causing render blocking issue. I have added the screenshot in private reply.July 19, 2021 at 3:36 am #1860767David
StaffCustomer SupportThat requests is being made by GenerateBlocks.
Which means you have specifically selected that font in the Post Editor. You will need to edit the GB Blocks you have assigned that font to.July 19, 2021 at 4:03 am #1860797Sunil
Hello,
I checked all the blocks, and I have not selected any font there. I will add one typography screenshot in private reply, in which I used only weight and transform feature of typography and the advanced typography is off. I have the same settings across all blocks. Does this settings cause to call that google css stylesheet?July 19, 2021 at 4:24 am #1860815David
StaffCustomer SupportThe Footer is built using a Block Element ( in Appearance > Elements ) – and i can see several headline blocks with that Roboto font-family applied to them.

Hello,
I cross-checked again the footer block, and i have done the same typography settings as I have done in above blocks. And yes while inspecting i am seeing roboto sans-serif font being called there. Can this be a caching issue? I cleared cache multiple times though but its still the same. Also the screenshot i sent in previous repl, those typography settingswhere I have turned off the advance typography, that doesnt call the google font css right?July 19, 2021 at 4:56 am #1860841David
StaffCustomer SupportYou can try regenerating the GB CSS in Dashboard > GenerateBlocks Settings.
The Show Advanced Typography option, does exactly that, it Shows / Hides the settings it doesn’t disable them.July 19, 2021 at 5:53 am #1860880Sunil

StaffCustomer SupportYeah you still have some Fonts set in the GB Block settings. See here:
https://www.screencast.com/t/oRPEhaupo7
You need to select each block, show the Advanced Typography and delete the Font Name.

Hello,
I see :D. So now this will completely eliminate the google font. Thanks a lot for help, and keeping up for this silly mistake by me :). Now I am doing those changes, its just that in the element block of footer, i am getting “Updating failed. The response is not a valid JSON response” error while updating, I tried in other pages its working fine.July 19, 2021 at 4:40 pm #1861766David
StaffCustomer SupportCan you check for plugin conflicts by temporarily disabling other plugins aside of GPP and GB. I would begin with any plugins that add to the block editor.

Hello,
I checked for the issue, so basically the waf rules from cloudflare were blocking the gp_elements path. I excluded them by adding a firewall rule, with the reference from this topic in gp forum https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/updating-failed-the-response-is-not-a-valid-json-response/. Now it works like a charm :). Thanks a lot David for helping out, we are live now, and everything is working perfect. I will mark this topic as resolved :). -
