Jiri
Hello,
I made a site with generatepress theme and wanted to move it on another domain.
I used wordpress export and import function but after I imported the theme, it lost some styling and icons.
Can you please help me with exporting the theme? Is there anything I need to do to have a site look exactly the same with all features and everything?
Thank you.
Jiri

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
you may need to update your URLs. Try this plugin to do that:

Hi, thank you for your answer.
I tried to make a new export/import and update URLS after the process but it didnt help with my problem. I will share sites in private so you can see the difference after importing the website to a new domain.
There is a sidebar on the right and some menu added to the site. Also, some of the content and styling is missing, you can check yourself.
Regards
Jiri

StaffCustomer SupportHow did you export and import the site ?
A plugin like Duplicator or All in One Export will create an exact copy of the site for import.

I used standard wordpress import/export tool and also imported settings from generate press http://prntscr.com/voejnp
I tried it one more time and the only problem left are some icons, bullets and lines –
This is what I get when I try to edit the part that is missing – http://prntscr.com/voelnc / http://prntscr.com/voen4p
Can you please fix these issues so icons and bullets dont disappear after exporting the site?
I wil try the plugins you suggested and let you know if it worked.
Thank you

StaffCustomer SupportI used standard wordpress import/export tool and also imported settings from generate press
Those would only export the customizer setting.

Those are the content so a plugin like Duplicator as David suggested should work better.

I forgot to mention that I am talking about Multisite wordpress.
I installed the duplicator but as I understand it, it only works on a single wordpress instalations and will overwrite the whole direction and not only the folder in a multisite I need to import.
Is there any other tool for duplicating sites in multisite WP?
Thank you for your help

Ok, thank you…
Do you have another solution? It costs 200USD for pro version 🙂November 24, 2020 at 11:23 am #1544949Leo
StaffCustomer SupportUnfortunately I don’t.
Might be worth asking on a WordPress general forum like this as it’s not theme related:
