Do you have a Sections feature planned for this – similar to Ultimate Blocks Sections facility?

    Hi there,

    the Container Block:

    https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/container-overview/

For full width simply set the GP Page Builder container to Full Width

    Hi David
    Love the plugin.
Is there a way of overriding the site wide typography color settings for the headings
    in a container section?
When I add a hyperlink to a Heading ( within the container block) , the typography colors switch to the site default colors ( in my case – dark colors)
As I’m using background images within the sections, ideally I would like to use a white text color
    on headings too.

    Glad to hear that πŸ™‚

Not yet – Defaults and Global Settings is something we are looking at for the future Pro version.

    Options:
You can set Text / Link colors in the Container Block – these will cascade down and override any default theme colors of any blocks in the container.

In the Toolbar 3 dot ( kebab ) Menu you can create a Re-usable block. You can use this to create a template that you can import each time you need that layout and then simply convert it to a standard block.

    Thanks David.
On the plus side it is very user friendly – more so than Ultimate blocks.
And glad to see the reusable function also included.

    A few points:
1.I note the absence of typography settings for either headings or text within container.

    2. The Button feature to be honest seems a bit clunky too. I can’t center either the GB button or the default button, at least I can’t find the options.

I’ve added a generateblocks container below ones created with Ultimate blocks to give you an idea.
    You’re almost there !

When you say pro version? Will this be a premium plugin or a free plugin, or is it
to be included in GP premium?

When do you see it being rolled out?

    Thanks for feeding back:

    1. Use the Headline Block – this is a GB block that has all the typography and color controls you could need.

    https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/headline-overview/

    2. the GB Buttons Block has alignment options. Including centre align. Be careful – the block adds a Button Container around the buttons.

Pro version will be a premium plugin – it will add more convenience to the existing free plugin.
We’ll be focusing on Pro after the Free version is released and GP Premium 1.11 is released.

    Hi David.
Sorted. Thanks. Looks sweet now. I especially like the Grid block.
It has loads of fun little options.
Will the GBlocks free version and GP Premium 1.11 be released soon?
I was hoping to do my big switch in next couple of days.

We’re hoping to get GBlocks free out very soon – hopefully within the next week.
GP Premium 1.11 is a little way off and will probably have quite a long alpha/beta testing phase.

    Hi David.
Thought I was done, but more questions. Sorry.
How do I convert reusable to a standard block?
I created a reusable as suggested but encountering a few issues.
I added the reusable block to test page, made some changes, and the original was changed too.
They’re also – well -stuck together.

I intend to create quite a few sections so what is the best procedure?

    Hi Stevie,

The block options (three little dots in the block toolbar) will have a “Convert to Regular Block” option if it’s a re-usable block.

Re-usable blocks will change site-wide if one is changed.

Let us know if you need more info πŸ™‚

    Thanks Tom, found it.
Basically I had hoped to create a ‘page section template’. So I could use it as a starting place to create new page containers.
I had a couple of points.
    1. Can I only save one container section template?
    2. Button text aligns to left.
    3. The padding doesn’t seem to work. I see default at 40 for desktop but
doesn’t show. Below example has four sections by Ultimate blocks followed by made
    with Generateblocks.
