YouTube videos: have to click twice

Hello Support,

When on a smartphone . . .
In order to start the video you have
to click on the large red video symbol,
but then also on the small white video
symbol at the bottom-left.
Is there a way to start the video
by just clicking on the large red video symbol?

As it works for me on iPhone Safari and Chrome.

I have an iPhone 6, ancient,
running iOS 12.5.6. with Safari.
Could that be the problem?
Unimportant, frankly, if it is.
Key is that new smartphones don't
have the problem.

It could be an old OS issue.
I tested on my old iPhone 7+ albeit on latest iOS and it works first tap. And likewise on a iPhone 12.
I can ask the other guys to check too if you like ?
Works fine on your iPhone.
