YouTube embeds won't play on iOS (mobile)

As the title says, my YT embeds work on all other device types except for iOS mobile. Here's what the error looks like https://imgur.com/a/kHS6KRZ
I looked through the threads + stack overflow and I couldn't find anything that seemed like a solution, so I hope you folks can help.

try disabling any plugins that are optimizing your content - for example is see the iframe embeds are being lazyloaded by Exoic
Closing this off. If anyone comes across this and is using WP YouTube Lyte, I highly recommend you disable the plugin and use something like Rocket WP's iframe lazy load feature (it's way less buggy).
