Hello – when we mark a header in our blog using Headline Yoast Table of contents does not pick up the headline.

Just to confirm, does it works correctly with the WP core headings block?

Sorry – yes it does.
I tested it both ways
I’m not sure what is required for Yoast TOC to detect GB’s headline block unfortunately.
In this case, I would recommend using the Heading block from WP core instead.
